Courtney and Brook just love each other like crazy. They are off in their own little world when they get together.

Courtney made up her own game of "soccer basketball" yesterday, which apparently involves a lot of spin kicks that end in rolling across the ground. :+)

Mmmmm, Gingerbread cookies!

We were reading a book of nursery rhymes, and after reading the Gingerbread Man it made me hungry for them, lol. We made a gigantic mess, but it sure was tasty.

This week so far has been crazy with errands, appointments, and general nonsense. I will try to get some posts up tomorrow. In the meantime, y'all email some pictures of your own, I'm not the only one with stuff to share you know!

The zoo, the zoo! Already posted pics of our trip to the zoo, but here's the layout I made from some of the pics today. Had a lot of fun making this one! It was inspired by an album I saw by the always awesome Elsie Flannigan. You can see it here.

We took the kids to the Fort Wayne Zoo on the last Saturday before school started. It's not a real big zoo (actually, I thought it was going to be bigger than it was from what I read about it on their web site), but they still had a lot of fun.

Courtney loves to play dress-up. This is the Cinderella wedding gown we got her for her bday.

Journaling reads: “Jessie, stop taking my picture!!!” (Insert dramatic preteen eyeroll here.) This is the half second fake grin I get after ten minutes of coercion to pose for “just one more picture, I promise!” That’s okay, as Michal barrels toward those oh-so-dramatic teenage years I’ll take all the smiles I can get - smart alec or otherwise. :+)

Journaling reads, "Ah, that final weekend of summer before the structured days of the school year begin - the mad dash to squeeze every last drop of fun out of the summer, to leave no dirt pile undug, no bug laden stone unturned.
